Around Late 2022, We started as Echotronix operating from a small house in Tumkuru. In view of future prospects we are now transitioning to an Limited Liability Company, By the name of Ekotron LLP. We are currently involved in the R&D of supply chain management solution for the dairy industry with advanced procurement analytics. We currently provide robust milk analyzers and milk analyzer components compatible with the Lactoscan family of milk analyzers. Besides we also make various electronic components/parts for use in Hobby, DIY projects. You can find our listings on Government e-Marketplace, IndiaMart, Flipkart and Amazon.
We are currently working on a milk collection and procurement system for the dairy industry. This system will have two levels of related infrastructure, one for village collection centers (VLCCs) and one for bulk milk chilling centers (BMCs). The village center will have a dedicated tab based Data Processing Unit that automatically retrieves data from the measurement devices (milk analyzer and weighing scale). Manual input will be rarely necessary. The chilling center will too have a dedicated system for the same, but however this will be optimized to better suite the chilling center workflow. At every stage we are optimizing our system keeping in our view the actual operational workflow of VLCCs and BMCs. We hope to design a system that works reliably in remote locations with unreliable or slow network connectivity and giving maximum flexibility to the operators. Our system takes into account the limited technical expertise of the VLCC operators. To make all of this work, we will have a centralized database in the dairy headquarters. This is in contrast to our competitors, who keep the data on their servers, this causes the customer to be dependent on the them. It also gives rise to security concerns and conflict of interest issues. We are working on advanced and customizable reports from the data collected, and seamless integration with existing accounting systems such as SAP.
Going forward Ekotron seeks to build and deploy Enterprise Resource Programs and Software solutions in various domains starting with the dairy industries of India. Admittedly this is not something that has not been done before. However the existing solutions in the market focus on a two tiered system, one on the field/source where the data is actually collected, and the second centralized system sitting in the headquarters. We focus on the former, where we need to not only overcome the software challenges, but also the challenges of interfacing with the variety of hardware systems in charge of data collection. Often the computing hardware allotted to the field is in poor condition, and operated by technicians not well versed in computers. Thus software running on such systems must be rugged, intuitive and must "just work" without regular maintenance.
Such will be the nature of our systems, investment of them is comparable to investment on office infrastructure, a one time permanent setup, that fulfills it's intended purpose without any complaints, regular maintenance, and god forbid the hiring of staff just to keep it working. It is like investing in a machine like a car, While a car needs some minimal maintenance, you do not need to keep a permanent mechanic to just keep it running/ or pay a subscription fee to such a mechanic. Such will be our software, it will turn systems into Human Machine Interfaces. The details of the Operating systems, libraries, updates will be entirely obfuscated from the user.
